Dear mom and dad,
I really think you should put me in a box and ship me to SMU. Not express shipping though, in a UPS truck. I really liked the school and the atmosphere of the place. The buildings and architecture is very pretty and they have a competent sports program. The tour guide, Nick, was awesome and he succeeded in making me want to go there. It’s closer to home than the other places I was considering too, so that works in your favor. I think if you mail me you won’t be disappointed. At all.
Love,
David

This week we were given the opportunity to be able to tour some colleges and learn more about them. Of the seven schools we visited, I enjoyed seeing The University of Texas the most. I really liked the university because of the many different schools it had to offer. An example of one school I preferred was the McCombs School of Business, which is the highest ranked business school in the state. Not only were the schools and programs outstanding, but also the campus and the diversity Austin has to offer. UT also has all of the resources in order for one to be successful in his or her career.

I had a great time on the Texas college tour. I loved touring Houston Baptist University, Texas State, Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, Southwestern University, University of Texas, and Texas A&M. I enjoyed all of the colleges listed but one of my favorites is definitely TCU. I really like TCU for many different reasons. Such as their beautiful campus, the location, and the size. I also like it because of their many academic programs and the wide range of majors they offer. TCU would be a great fit for me because I am interested in business and communication and they offer great schools for both of these subjects.

During the Texas College Tour, we toured many great schools. One of my favorite colleges that we toured was SMU. They had a great campus and really nice people like our tour guide, Nick. They also have a 12 to 1 student- faculty ratio and offer many different opportunities for scholarships. Some more awesome things about SMU that I learned while I was there was that they have a Learning Enhancement Center which offers free tutoring whenever needed and another thing is that students can get into all sporting events for free. The tour was great and the entire trip went surprisingly well, this trip will really help me out when it comes time to apply for schools.

This week I was privileged by going on the Texas College Tour. We saw 7 great schools this week. Every college was different and great in its own ways.

A couple of colleges we visited that stood out to me were SMU and TCU. SMU was a great school. SMU had a large and scenic campus. One of SMU’s rivals is TCU, another great school. TCU was a mid-sized college which offered many great things like the experience of learning in small classes and also very large classes. TCU and SMU offer close relationships with teachers and students allowing for a better learning experience. Overall the college tour was fun educational and eye opening.

I was extremely impressed by our tour at SMU on Wednesday. I immediately fell in love with everything we saw such as the trees cascading the Boulevard. Everything about the campus was beautiful. I also loved the The Meadows School of Fine Arts. I enjoyed Southern Methodist University the most out of all seven colleges we have toured this week. I absolutely fell in love with SMU and it's spirit. The people who are attending SMU currently seem very friendly and also seem to love everything SMU. I'm hoping to apply to SMU one day with Alli Motley. I'm really glad we got the opportunity to tour SMU and take the time to see everything about it!

Dear Mrs. Touchstone,

In high school, students build, learn, and prepare for college. They learn about them and see which college will fit best and prepare them for their lives after school. On our college tour we visited HBU, Texas State, UT, A&M, TCU, SMU, and Southwestern university. Of these colleges Texas A&M was the top on my list.

My family has a very long history with Texas A&M University, every member on my fathers side has gone to this university and are the nicest people I have ever met. When I stepped on the campus I instantly felt like I should be there, it was clean and orderly unlike some of the colleges I visited. The college has a quality about them that is shown the second your on campus that some people just aren’t used to, they are very kind and happy towards everyone, they’re traditions have built a strong foundation for their university. Their sports program is building and becoming more profound and that is something I really look forward to when I see a college. Texas A&M offers some of the best education in the country and also in the subject i want to major in, so I know that I will be set with the tools I need to receive a great job. And lastly their extra activities, the campus has so many fun things to do, like even in the summer they have what is called MT. Aggie, which is a artificial mountain with snow!

Texas A&M is the college of my dreams because they provide you with the great education and moral ethics that my parents try to teach me every single day. This is my favorite and number one college of choice.

Sincerely,

Caleb Russo
